The Lord is good with tender way
He cares for all His own.
His heart of love will ne’er betray
Or ever His disown.
These are the children of His choice,
Who on His Son relied
They are the ones that heard His voice,
And now in Him abide.
In days of trouble or in strife,
Bowed down by grief and pain.
They now possess eternal life
Where God Himself doth reign.
They have a stronghold safe and sure
In God’s predestined will.
Whilst here on earth they can endure
And marvel at His skill.
Within the heart of God above
His children are all known.
Such knowledge of this wondrous love
Still overwhelms His own.
Deep in God’s heart they have a place,
A stronghold less they stray.
They shall in glory see His face,
And enter perfect day.
