Ethos of the Trust
The ethos of the Trust is to promote the biblical truths expressed throughout Vernon Higham’s ministry, namely those of biblical teaching from the Word of God, Gospel preaching in the spirit, experiential Calvinism and warm, heart religion. It was established in 2006 with the principal aim of securing, recording and making available the archive of his sermons, bible studies and conference messages.
The Trust has undertaken significant research since its foundation and maintains a substantial record of the ministry including original recordings from Heath Church and a large store of video cassettes from Tabernacle Cardiff. We also retain records of his itinerant ministry, most notably from his annual summer visits to Berean Baptist Church in Flint, Michigan, USA.
The sermons and messages on the website are freely available for listening to and downloading.
We also are engaged in biography, the publication of books, tracts and hymns. In 2003 we published a short memoir by John Peters on Vernon Higham’s life and ministry.
Vernon Higham’s well-loved hymns are widely used in the UK, USA and in other countries. Subject to copyright agreement, we are very supportive of their use for the purpose of worship and congregational hymn singing.
The Trust retains the preaching of other like-minded ministers, including the Scottish ministers Hugh Ferrier and Donald MacDonald. We also retain a few sermons of Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones, Vernon Higham’s friend over many years. The recordings by Roger Jack included on our website ‘Servants of the Lord’ are noteworthy in their content.

The Trust was formed in 2006 with the aim of recording and making available the archive of the ministry of Vernon Higham.

The main archive features teaching sermons, gospel sermons and bible studies preached at Heath Church between 1971 and 2002.
